The Agony in Gethsemane. (Luke 22, 39-46)

“He went out and came, as usual, to the Mount of Olives, and the disciples also followed him. When he reached this place, he said to them: "Pray, so as not to enter into temptation." Then he walked away from them about a stone's throw and, bending his knees, he prayed, saying: "Father, if you will, take this cup away from me! However, let it not be my will, but yours is done! " Then there appeared to him, coming from heaven, an angel who comforted him. Entered into agony, he prayed more insistently, and his sweat became like large drops of blood falling to the ground. Getting up from his prayer, he came to the disciples, whom he found sleeping with sadness, and he said to them: "What have you to sleep? Get up and pray, that you will not enter into temptation." "
