Detailed description of the Queen of Peace,

as she appears in Medjugorje

Many people have asked the seers in various ways about Our Lady's appearances, as well as about what is happening in the parish of Medjugorje. Father Janko Bubalo, Franciscan of Herzegovina and writer, had the most success in this regard. He followed the events of Medjugorje from the beginning and for many years came to confess there. This is how he was able to have his own experience of the spirituality of Medjugorje. The visible result of this service is his book "A Thousand Encounters with Our Lady in Medjugorje" (published in 1985) which was a worldwide success and was awarded. In this book, the seer Vicka gives her testimony. The author also interviewed the other seers  but ultimately only published his interview with Vicka, since the latter's responses were the most understanding . The answers of the other seers did not differ from hers on any important point. According to his testimony, Father Bubalo repeatedly spoke with all the seers and did not publish anything without their approval.

Attempts to represent Our Lady's appearances increased over time. Some were at odds with what the seers were saying. To bring some clarity, Father Bubalo, already old (born in 1913), sent to all the seers a questionnaire on the subject of Our Lady's appearances.

Most seers responded to the survey: Ivan Dragićević, Vicka Ivanković, Marija Pavlović, Ivanka Ivanković and Mirjana Dragićević. The summary of all their answers was confirmed by their signatures in Humac on July 23, 1992. For valid reasons, Jakov Čolo did not answer the questionnaire, but he confirmed the answers of the other visionaries and had nothing to add.
