Our Lady of Lourdes,

You who appeared in the hollow of the rock of Massabielle

To Bernadette, little and simple shepherdess of Bigorre,

You brought her the radiant light of your smile,

The soft and radiant glow of your presence.

You have forged a relationship with her over the days

Where you looked at her like a person talks to a person.

Here we are before you, poor us too, and we humbly pray to you.

Give those who doubt to discover the joy of trust,

Give those who despair of tasting your discreet presence.

You who revealed your name to Bernadette

By simply saying “I am the Immaculate Conception”.

Let us discover the joy of forgiveness ceaselessly offered,

Place in us the desire for recovered innocence and joyful holiness.

Help the blind sinners.

You gave birth to the Savior of the world,

Look with fondness on our splendid and dramatic world.

Open in us the paths of hope,

Guide us to Him who is the Living Source,
